Uber's partner Bell reveals FLYING TAXI

Bell's new flying car design called Nexus has been unveiled at CES 2019. It is being developed for Uber's Elevate air taxi program. Nexus has 6 fans which facilitate it to take off vertically like a helicopter and can also rotate by 90 degrees to fly fastly like a plane. Gentle landing is possible on a 40 x 40 ft landing pad which doesn't demand much change to existing infrastructure. The flight testing is expected to begin by 2023.

LG's Rollable TV

A prototype which was announced last year has become a reality. LG OLED TV R is a 65-inch rollable TV. This TV is so amazing that it will show up just when you want it to show up and simply rolls back into its base when you don't need it. The rolling mechanism is a steady as well as a silent one which takes about 10 seconds. As one could guess its price is expected to be high.

ISRO's Gaganyaan to send Indians to space by December 2021

Gaganyaan is India's first manned space mission which is set for launch in December 2021. This mission will be preceeded by 2 unmanned missions in December 2020 and July 2021. The capacity to be built is to support 3 people for seven days. The actual number of astronauts to be sent will be decided later.

Hyundai "Elevate" Walking Car concept

Hyundai has showcased at CES 2019 its Elevate concept - a car with robotic legs. It has 4 mechanical legs with wheels. This facilitates the legs' extension to navigate through rough terrains and also retraction to drive it like any other car at highway speeds. It can even climb over walls as high as 5 feet while maintaing the body level with the ground. This is sought as a vehicle for search and rescue missions as well as a vehicle for the differently abled and for many other scenarios.
