Neighbourly Expands to Bengaluru, Delhi and Chennai

Neighbourly is a neighbourhood app by Google. It helps users ask their neighbours questions and keep up with their neighbourhood. The questions get routed to the right neighbours instantly, and then they can write back with the correct info. It was first launched in May at Mumbai. With Bengaluru and Delhi added to the list of cities with Neighbourly on November 20, Chennai was added recently. The other cities to be added soon are Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Indore.

Instagram accidentally exposed some users' passwords

Instagram has recently fixed a security bug which was present in its feature called Download Your Data. The issue was when users submitted their login information to use the feature, they were able to see their password information in the URL of the page. The company recently started notifying affected users that they should change their passwords, as a precaution.

SpaceX to launch 12,000 satellites

Elon Musk's SpaceX has received approvals from FCC to launch 12,000 satellites. The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) announced it had authorized SpaceX to launch 7,518 satellites, adding to 4,425 satellites which it has already approved. These 11,943 satellites will form the expansive Starlink broadband network, designed to provide worldwide high speed internet access.

Over 5.6 lakh users install Gaming Apps which turn out to be Malware

Cybersecurity researcher Lukas Stefanko, who works with the firm ESET, posted a tweet recently detailing a set of malicious apps on the Play Store.

Once installed the games didn't work. According to the reviews, the apps had effects like slowing the phone, trying to update via unknown sources etc. Some users couldn't even find the icon for the downloaded game.
